MILESTONES MINISTRY

FPC joins with our young families to celebrate milestones in our children's lives. We hope these celebrations and studies will help guide the children through their faith journeys and deepen their understanding of the shared worship experience.

Baptism

Celebrating new life in Christ

In baptism, we are claimed by God as his child and are welcomed into the family of faith. Following a child’s baptism, he or she will receive a special children’s story Bible.

Welcome to Worship

Teaching children to worship God together as a community of faith
In second grade, children “graduate” from Children’s Church and remain in worship for the entire service. This class, held each September, will bring these children together with their parents to help them better understand worship and the sacraments of our faith.

Bible Workshop
Learning the stories of our faith

This two- to three-week workshop, held in the spring, will help parents and children better understand how to use their Bibles while teaching them the stories of our faith. Following the class, students will receive a special Bible.

Confirmation

Preparing to make a public profession of faith

Led by Pastor Dana, confirmation is designed for youth who wish to join the church. Confirmands meet regularly together and with mentors to study the Bible, the sacraments, and other elements of the church. They will be presented with a study Bible during Confirmation Sunday.

Graduation

Sending disciples of Christ into the world

Upon graduation from high school, our seniors will be presented with a devotional book from Presbyterian Women. The presentation takes place during the annual Baccalaureate worship service.

FPC YOUTH

Anyone in grades 6 - 12 is welcome to join us on Sunday afternoons for a fun, laid-back time of fellowship!

The FPC Youth Group builds community through programs of service, study, worship, and fellowship. We meet regularly on Sundays throughout the school year. Other special activities include youth conference, retreats, and other educational & fun activities.
